Rastafari can mean many different things to people. Ask any Rastafari and you get an answer as unique as the colours of the rainbows, and so it should be. Rastafari has always meant to do good, to forward postive vibes, to do jah works and help the less fortunate ones. In one way rasta is as much action as it is philosophy.

We are all born out of one consciousness, one love and one blood. A true spiritual family. Yet countries and governments around the world insist on separation, often by force. Borders need guns, security, passports, fingerprints, eye and body scans to keep us protected from one another?
The earth is round, we are one people, friends and family.
Signs and symbols are everywhere, they are part of our daily lives. With so much information bombarding us signs can be confusing and signs can be a blessing. Without signs and symbols how would we make sense of the world around us?
Signs are written in the heavens, they are written in the mountains, they are written in the oceans and they are written in you.
Slavery comes in many forms: physical, mental, spiritual, marital and even monetary slavery. The same can be said about our attitude. Slavery is a system in which people are the property of others. Ultimately we are all born free, we only become slaves when we allow ourselves to.
The power of our thoughts dictate our realities, if we don't subscribe to mental slavery who could ever rule over us?
Time after time religion has delivered the same message to mankind: God is outside of you and needs to be worshipped. More blood has been shed on mother earth for this holy war than any other reason.

The universe is a mistery unto its own. Much thought has been pondered on the how and why of its existence. Ultimately mankind will never know. However, it should not stop us from realising the purpose of our very own existence.
